Police have charged two men over an alleged assault in Surfers Paradise overnight after another two men were hospitalised.
Officers were called to a “disturbance” at a unit tower on Peninsular Drive shortly after 6pm on Wednesday.
Two men aged in their 40s were taken to Gold Coast University Hospital with head injuries. One was in stable condition, while the other was reported to be serious.
Another two men were taken into custody near the unit block.
Cameron James Hart, 36, and D’Andre Waterreus, 23, have both been charged with two counts of grievous bodily harm and one of enter dwelling with intent.
Mr Waterreus faces an additional two charges of possessing dangerous drugs.
Both were refused police bail and due to appear in Southport Magistrates Court on Thursday.
A Queensland Police Service spokesman confirmed all four men were known to each other.
Inquiries are still ongoing.
