A man has been taken to hospital following a reported assault by two other men in Nerang last night.
Emergency services were called to the scene just after 6pm following reports a man in his 40s was allegedly assaulted by two unknown men on Boulton Street.
Police investigations indicate that a security guard intervened and the two men left the scene in a white Toyota Camry.
The 44-year-old was taken by paramedics to Robina Hospital in a stable condition with head injuries.
No complaint from the victim has been received by police and no further investigations will be carried out at this time.
