A Gold Coast mother violently attacked her in-house cleaner on the street after finding out she was having an affair with her husband,

Jaclyn Maree Morris, 45, was driving down Fraser Ave, Miami on August 4 when she spotted the other woman sitting in her parked car and got out of her vehicle to confront her.

Southport Magistrates Court was told on Monday that the victim claimed Morris called her a “f**king whore”, and she retaliated with, “I don’t want your husband, so f**k off”.

Prosecutor Donn Reid said the victim told police Morris said “Well you didn’t f**k off, did you – you’re not so f**king tough now,” before attacking her.

“(Morris) proceeded to assault the victim through the open window, grabbing her by the hair and punching her in the face numerous times,” Mr Reid said.

“The victim suffered injuries including a swollen lip, bruising to the left side of her face, and hair loss to the crown (as it) had been ripped out.”

The court heard Morris found out her victim, who had worked as her family’s cleaner for four years, was having an affair with her husband about a week before the assault.

Mr Reid said Morris had initially confronted the woman via text, calling her “a lying bitch”.

He told the court the victim had responded with “sexually explicit correspondence” between her and Morris’ husband, including a nude photo he had sent her.

“Morris admitted (to police) to seeing the victim parked on Fraser Ave on the day of the assault, explaining this was the first time she’d seen (her) since discovering the affair,” Mr Reid said.

The court heard Morris claimed the victim provoked her first, telling her to “f**k off” and that she “needed to learn how to f**k her husband”.

Defence lawyer Mark Savic said Morris’ clean criminal history and strong references clearly showed the assault was out of character.

He said Morris had since reconciled with her husband and remained focused on raising their two teenage kids.

Morris pleaded guilty to one count of assault occasioning bodily harm.

She was placed on probation for six months and no conviction was recorded.
