Gold Coast traffic has been thrown into chaos after a truck rolled on the M1 about 2pm.
Emergency crews were called about 2pm after the 4.5 tonne truck rolled at exit 49 at Pimpama.
A Queensland Police media spokeswoman said the driver was out of the truck, conscious and breathing.
The rollover left one lane of the M1 southbound closed.
It is not clear what the truck was carrying.
At about 3.30pm police were waiting for the second tow truck to arrive at the crash.
It is understood traffic has backed up to Logan.
Motorists are being urged to avoid the area.
Delays are expected until the truck can be cleared.
