A popular Gold Coast bodybuilding and fitness influencer couple have been charged with stashing a swag of steroids and party drugs at their home.
Hattie Boydle and Koben George Moore were allegedly found with close to 20 drugs and unauthorised medicines when police searched their Palm Beach apartment on December 22 last year.
Court documents allege that alongside a laundry list of steroids – including oxandrolone, trenbolone, testosterone, nandrolone and stanozolol – officers also found cocaine, MDMA, and growth hormones among other substances.
The couple are also accused of possessing cocaine at Mermaid Beach in March 2022.
Ms Boydle, 35, allegedly supplied the same drug to Mr Moore in late May the same year. Her partner is charged with giving testosterone to another man in the following days.
Both now face 13 charges of possessing dangerous drugs and one each of supplying dangerous drugs, unauthorised possession of medicines, and failing to dispose of a needle and syringe.
Mr Moore, 27, has an additional charge of possessing anything used in the commission of a crime.
The pair fronted Southport Magistrates Court for the first time on Monday, with defence lawyer Nicholas Andrews asking for an adjournment to February 22 for case conferencing.
Ms Boydle and Mr Moore remain on bail.
The Gold Coast couple – who boast a massive 585,000 and 49,400 Instagram followers respectively – devote much of their online platforms to fitness content, from gruelling gym sessions to nutrition advice or recipes and motivational messages.
Many of their recent posts have focused on the launch of their Flex Method coaching app, which they claim offers a “holistic”, education-focused program for sustainable results.
Its website describes Ms Boydle as an international pro fitness model and World Beauty Fitness and Fashion world champion with experience as a coach and motivational speaker.
Mr Moore’s listed credentials include coaching various sports or strength and conditioning before starting his own personal training business.
He has been quick to hit back at accusations on social media that his partner used steroids, despite claiming to be open that he was “not natural” himself.
“She’s achieved things you literally could not if you took steroids and devoted your whole life to it,” Mr Moore wrote on Instagram in response to another user’s comment.
Neither he nor Ms Boydle have indicated pleas to the charges.
