A Gold Coast woman accused of trying to smuggle items out of a major retailer in a pram was allegedly caught cheating at The Star casino on her birthday.

A Gold Coast woman accused of trying to smuggle items out of a major retailer in a pram was allegedly caught cheating at The Star casino on her birthday.

Court documents reveal Toni Maree Kussrow, 44, has been charged with one count each of cheating by fraudulent act, practice, or scheme and possessing dangerous drugs.

Police allege Kussrow was caught cheating while at the Broadbeach casino on December 4.

She was also allegedly carrying a quantity of marijuana at the venue.

The more recent charges join those still outstanding against Kussrow, following an alleged attempted theft that went viral on social media.

The Southport woman allegedly went into Supercheap Auto at Ashmore on April 24 last year and put two disc-rotors into a pram, concealing them beneath a blanket.

Kussrow was confronted outside by a Supercheap employee when she allegedly tried to leave without paying for the items.

A video of the altercation was widely circulated on social media, with Kussrow heard yelling, “Let my baby go” when the staff member tried to take control of the pram.

She was charged with another two alleged stealing or fraud incidents that same month.

A warrant was issued for Kussrow’s arrest last November, after she repeatedly failed to appear in court to face the stealing and fraud charges.

Court documents reveal she surrendered to the court and was again granted bail on November 30, only to forfeit that bail order when she was a no-show at her next court date on March 30.

Another warrant was issued that same day and remains active as of this week.

Kussrow’s drug and Broadbeach casino cheating charges are due to be mentioned again on May 5.
