A 21-year-old woman has died after a fatal traffic crash at Pimpama on Friday evening.
The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating the crash with initial investigations indicating a Yamaha YZF-R6 motorbike was travelling southbound on the Pacific Motorway near Pimpama River Bridge before colliding with a truck around 6.55pm on Friday night.
The 21-year-old Virginia woman driving the motorbike was declared deceased at the scene.
The driver of the truck was not physically injured.
Police are investigating the circumstances of the crash and are appealing to anyone who may have any relevant information or dashcam vision to come forward.
On the night of the accident, a Queensland Police Service spokesman said police were still on scene at 9.30pm combing through the debris, trying to establish what had happened.
