A man has been held up at knifepoint and threatened during an early morning robbery in the middle of Surfers Paradise.
The male victim was approached by another man, armed with the knife, at the intersection of Ferny and Cypress Ave about 3.30am on Wednesday, April 9.
A Queensland Police Service spokesman said the offender demanded the 33-year-old man hand over cash – before slashing a tyre on his car and taking off in a silver Mercedes-Benz.
The victim wasn’t physically injured during the robbery.
Police are on the hunt for the offender and the vehicle they left the scene in. They’re appealing for anyone who may have been in the area at the time of the incident, or who may have CCTV or dashcam footage to get in touch.
Investigations are continuing.
