GOLD COAST BULLETIN REVIVES RUGBY UNION LIVE STREAMING
Now our attention turns to the Nerang Bulls and Surfers Paradise. These are the players from each side who exude X-Factor and could flip the script midgame.
SUFERS PARADISE DOLPHINS
Dylan Wooster: It’s not often second row forwards are considered X factors but Surfers stalwart Dylan Wooster can be that for his side. With a huge clash looming against a powerful New Zealand-flavoured forward pack, Wooster’s wiley contributions at set piece time threaten to disrupt Nerang at every turn. If Surfers lose the set piece battle they have no chance of countering one of the competition’s most electric attacking teams.
NERANG BULLS
Josh Edmond: The former Sunnybank Premier Grade winger and Aussie Sevens development prospect is the Bulls captain for a reason. His experience and class, sharpened by years on Australia’s elite rugby scene, have turned him into one of the the GCDRU’s top attacking threats. After his backline was skittled in final play by Surfers last time around, Edmond can’t afford to knock on their door - he needs to bust it down.
HELENSVALE HOGS
Sean Finigan: According to Hogs player coach Hayden McCaa, Finigan is big, strong and explosive. While he doesn’t boast out and out speed, the number eight can beat any tackler.
GRIFFITH UNIVERSITY KNIGHTS
Larry Hermens: Knights coachJohnny Ngauamo backed Hermens as the player who can change a game. A general of the Knights backline, Hermens plays as number 13 and has speed to score tries as he displayed last week. Hermens also has considerable experience, having joined the club from Sunnybank this year after representing Queensland in rugby sevens.
