They will play off for the chance to keep their rugby union journeys alive.
Former NRL players Francis Tualau and Delouise Hoeter joined the Dolphins from the Wynnum-Manly Seagulls when the Intrust Super Cup competition was suspended after one round.
After 13 weeks in rugby their return to Queensland’s elite rugby league competition will begin once the Dolphins are eliminated or have raised the Phil Temperton Cup.
“Rugby was my first love growing up,” Tualau said.
“It was always in the back of my mind that if I got the opportunity to play I’d love to.
“We’ve got a great bunch of boys here who have made it easy to transition back to the game.”

Tualau, a 10-game NRL prop for the Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs, is thriving in the centres for the Dolphins.
He said he would sacrifice whatever it took to ensure his team were victorious this weekend.
Even that may not be enough, with their finals destiny dependent on either Helensvale or Nerang losing their final match.
“Our mindset is not to lose this weekend,” Tualau said.
“Hopefully this weekend won’t be our last because it’s been a lot of fun playing this sport again for a great club.”
The Dolphins will be a wildcard finals entry as the only team to challenge frontrunners Griffith Uni Knights.
Their 15-12 defeat three weeks ago was the closest any club has come in 2020 to beating them.
