HE arrived on the Gold Coast on the back of a destructive NSW Cup campaign and Greg Leleisiuao has offered a glimpse of what may lie ahead in the Titans’ successful NRL Nines run.
The 22-year-old wrecking ball impressed in limited chances during the two-day competition in Perth, scoring a try in Gold Coast’s 19-8 loss to eventual winners North Queensland in Saturday’s Nines semi final.
A power-packed 177cm and 104kg, Leleisiuao starred on the wing for Wentworthville in last season’s NSW Cup, topping the competition for post-contact metres and tackle busts as the Magpies reached the grand final.

A member of the Titans’ NYC side in 2016, he returned to the club late last year and has impressed teammates and coaching staff throughout pre-season as he pushes for an NRL debut.
“There’s a few guys (who have excelled),” Titans Nines captain Mitch Rein said.
“There’s a bloke called Greg who’s just been a handful all pre-season. No-one can really handle him.
“He’s virtually impossible to tackle one-on-one and he’s fast and he’s taken all the records in the gym so I really can’t wait to see him tear it up (this season).”
With their Perth assignment over, the Titans will now turn their attention to Friday night’s trial against Intrust Super Cup premiers Burleigh at Pizzey Park.
While winger Phillip Sami and utility Tyrone Peachey were the only players named in the Nines Team of the Tournament on Saturday night, Leleisiuao also drew praise from fellow Gold Coast rookie Treymain Spry.

“Greg is a beast so I’m looking forward to watching him play (this year),” Spry said.
