After a lot of talk, this weekend’s charity fight between MAFS star Daniel Webb and defence lawyer Campbell MacCallum is off.

MAFS 2019: Where are the cast now?

Both of them are injured.

Mr MacCallum, a high-profile Gold Coast criminal lawyer, fractured his hand during a training session, while Mr Webb tore an anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) while playing football at the weekend.

“(I’m) gutted indeed that we didn’t get to punch each other up,” MacCallum said.

“We are going to have a good night over a few beers at the fights and hopefully not get into a knuckle fight as we were both excited to do this weekend.”

Mr MacCallum went to the doctor to get a medical certificate. He was hoping the Brisbane fight would be postponed six weeks.

Mr Webb posted a photo on social media from his local gym on Monday night. It read: “Bung knee no excuses.”

The match was tipped to be “slightly uncomfortable” between the two due to Mr Webb being before court in relation to an alleged $15-20 million boiler room scam dating back to 2014.

The rest of Saturday’s fight schedule is expected to go ahead. The main event features former Married At First Sight contestants Mike Gunner and Billy Vincent. The event is on 12.30-5pm.

The match will raise money for the charity LIVIN, which supports mental health.
