A Gold Coast woman says she and ‘a few others’ were approached by people claiming to be Married At First Sight producers while at a popular Gold Coast bar yesterday.

COULD it be Married At First Sight producers haven’t had enough people apply for the next season of the reality TV show?
A group of people claiming to be producers from Married At First Sight have been approaching women at popular Gold Coast bars.
Chloe Evans said she was at Kirra’s Tupe-Aloha yesterday afternoon when people came up to her and her friend and asked if they were interested in applying for the next season.

“(They said) they were producers of a show that involves getting married,” she said.
“Then we asked what show and they told us Married At First Sight.
“They weren’t allowed to say what show but we got it out of them in the end.
“I was like sorry I’m happily taken.
“(It’s) not every day you get scouted to be on Married At First Sight.”

The young, blonde woman said they also asked her friend and “a few” other girls at the bar before the crew left, moving off to “other venues in Coolangatta”.
According to the website, if you are selected to star on the show “you will need to be available for filming” as of this month, “from August to December 2019”.
Applications remain open online.
