Having smashed his fourth ton of the Queensland Premier Cricket season in Saturday’s win over Souths, Gold Coast all-rounder Liam Hope-Shackley is rapidly firming for higher honours.
The Queensland second XI will play four Twenty20s between January 20-23 before a four-day game against Western Australia in February, and if Hope-Shackley’s form holds a call up could be on the cards.

After taking 3-30 and hitting 74 in Sunday’s one-day win over Wests, the 21-year-old now has 355 runs at 29.58 this season to go with 13 wickets at 23.31.
BAY RECRUIT BEGINNING TO FIND FEET
After showing glimpses of his potential in the pre-season Twenty20 tournament, Runaway Bay recruit Michael Narracott has begun to find his feet in the Kookaburra Cup.
The former South Brisbane first grader hit 45 not out and 56 not out on the weekend and also picked up three wickets, taking his season tally to 233 runs at 33.29 and seven wickets at 12.29.
