Known more for his batting than his bowling, Beattie snared six wickets from just nine overs at an average of 11.17.

After making one on debut for the Seagulls, the former South Brisbane first grade captain posted scores of 39, 32 and 59 in his final three knocks to finish with 131 runs at 32.75.

JOSH REID (SOUTHPORT LABRADOR)

Tasked with opening the bowling in the cutthroat T20 format, Reid was a key figure in the Tigers’ charge to the final, collecting seven wickets at 11.71.

FINS FALTER, THEN FIRE IN OPENING T20S

MITCHELL NOLAN (ALBERTON ORMEAU)

While Shane Connors and Corey Galloway form the backbone of the Hurricanes, middle-order batsman Nolan stood up with 103 runs at 34.33, despite his side’s title defence coming to an end.

JOSH HENDERSON (COOMERA HOPE ISLAND)

A former Queensland Premier Cricket regular with South Brisbane and Redlands, the towering quick was good but not at his damaging best last season, finishing with 22 wickets at 17.86.

However, he proved the most effective fast bowler in the T20s, picking up eight wickets at 6.88 in just three games.
