RISING Malaysian talent Christian Didier is continuing his Australian love affair on the Gold Coast this weekend as he steps up his quest for US Open Juniors glory in September.
The 17-year-old, who celebrated the biggest moment of his career with a second-round appearance at the Australian Open Juniors in January, will contest the semi final of the Gold Coast Junior International at Burleigh Waters on Saturday.
He said the Grade 4 ITF tournament was another important step on the path to the US Open Juniors.
“This is a good tournament and Australia is a good level so I came here to work on my game,” Didier, who will also play the Grade China Junior 14 from July 31, said.
“I just came from Europe, I was in Europe two months and it was good experience. I played French Open Juniors and it was really tough but good experience.
