Replay: ASSRL Nationals Day 4 - NSW CCC v NSW CHS (Boys grand final)

It is a roll call filled to the brim with exciting talents including brothers, sisters, sons and daughters of NRL talents as well as a second-rower who’s coach describes as a ‘rugby league cheat code’.

Meet the players ready to take the field across a massive two-week schools rugby league extravaganza at the ASSRL Nationals.

Every match from the ASSRL Nationals, including the Under-15/16 tournament from June 30-July 5 and the Under-18 tournament from July 7-July 12, will be exclusively live streamed on KommunityTV.

Erindale College, the number one league nursery in the nation’s capital, is the best represented school across the two weeks with 17 students named in teams despite the ACT still yet to name their Under-15 boys and Under-18 girls sides so expect that number to climb.

Patrician Brothers Blacktown will also be well represented across both NSW Combined Catholic College’s boys sides, including barnstorming backrowers Jacob Halangahu, Josiah Vaha’akolo-Fifita and Tyson Sangalang ready to run amok in the Under-18s tournament.

Halangahu, an Australian Schoolboys representative last year, has been one of the stars of the NRL Schoolboys Cup this season with his school coach warning the best is yet to come.

“He works hard on his craft, I think if you asked him, he just wants to be the best there is,” Patrician Brothers Blacktown coach Noah Meares said.

“That internal drive is his biggest skill outside of what he can do on a football field.

“He has that want to win everything. It makes him a bit of a force to be reckoned with.”

While most states are yet to submit their girls squads for the Under-18 nationals, Queensland has put the rest of the nation on red alert already with an exciting squad.

The Queensland squad features three returning players from the inaugural Australian Schoolgirls team including rampaging forwards Alice Shannon and Armani-Lea Auvae who will partner each other in a scary front-row.

Speedy finisher Mercedez Taulelei-Siala will also return on the wing for Queensland.

Please note: We will continue to update the below squad lists as teams submit their line-ups ahead of the ASSRL Nationals.
