CUP TIE A GAME-OF-THE-SEASON CONTENDER
Saturday’s thrilling Kookaburra Cup tie between Queens and Mudgeeraba Nerang is a leading contender for game of the season after both teams rode an emotional rollercoaster at Greg Chaplin Oval.
Defending 153, Mudgeeraba looked set for victory after reducing the hosts to 8-93, before Toby Thompson (53 not out) and Michael Manns (13) put on 60 for the ninth wicket.
But with first-innings points just one run away, Queens lost 2-0 to register the third tie of the season.
