Surfers Paradise hold fifth on the ladder, four points behind Helensvale Pacific Pines.

At Greg Chaplin Oval, Mudgeeraba Nerang have managed to salvage a draw against Queens in a gutsy effort that has them with just one loss to their name this season.

Queens had kept their rivals to just 153 runs and had a team stacked with batsman on Saturday but after drawing level with two wickets remaining, lost both Blake Chapman and Michael Manns without adding to their score.

Ben O’Connell (83 runs) and Reece McDonald (50 runs) were the standouts for Broadbeach Robina who cruised past Burleigh’s total of 115 to reach 7/230.

Alberton Ormeau beat Helensvale Pacific Pines on the back of knocks from Simon Mills (100 runs) and Matthew Yiend (60) at Hession Oval.

Helensvale Pacific Pines had set 241 runs to win but it wasn’t enough, with Alberton Ormeau finishing 4/254 on day two.

After declaring at 9/242 on day one, Coomera Hope Island kept Palm Beach Currumbin to 202 at Salk Oval.

Phil Tunnicliffe and Joshua Henderson both took four wickets as Palm Beach Currumbin’s batsman struggled to convert any starts they made.
