A truck and car have collided on the M1 near Nerang causing major gridlock on the motorway.
Emergency services responded to the crash which occurred on the northbound on-ramp near Southport Nerang Road about 11.20am on Thursday, a Queensland Fire Department spokeswoman said.
Police and Queensland Ambulance Service (QAS) crews were also on scene.
Heavy delays impacted northbound traffic from Nielsen Road near Carrara.
Delays were also slowing traffic southbound over the Nerang River Bridge.
Those delays had eased by about 1.00pm.
A QAS spokeswoman said paramedics treated one patient with a suspected neck injury.
They were taken to Gold Coast University in a stable condition.
