A car has careened off a busy Gold Coast road, ploughing through a garden bed to become wedged between a shopping complex and concrete wall.
A Queensland Fire Department spokeswoman said the single-vehicle crash happened just after 6pm on Thursday near Robina Parkway and Cheltenham Drive.
The silver sedan narrowly avoiding the shopping complex building as it came to rest down an embankment.
The QFD spokeswoman said crews assessed the building, however there was no structural damage and the scene was left with tow-truck operators to remove the car.
Paramedics treated a female patient at the scene. A Queensland Ambulance Service spokesman said she was taken to Gold Coast University Hospital in a stable condition.
A specialist heavy haulage tow truck was called in to crane the car out of the complex.
