Tevita Pangai Luani, 23, from Taigum faces Caboolture court for alleged Dayboro Rodeo drug charges

A man who was allegedly dealing drugs at the Dayboro Rodeo earlier this month has faced a Moreton Bay court charged with possessing 30g of cocaine and more than 10g of MDMA.

A man who was allegedly dealing drugs at the Dayboro Rodeo earlier this month has faced a Moreton Bay court charged with possessing 30g of cocaine and also MDMA.

Police charged 23-year-old er he was allegedly found in possession of drugs and cash at the popular rodeo on May 5.

Officers from the Moreton District Tactical Crime Squad were conducting foot patrols of the showground during the event when they made the discovery.

It was alleged officers found 30g of cocaine and 13g of MDMA, a portion of which had been prepared in capsules.

It was further alleged they also found scales, clipseal bags and numerous empty capsules.

Police charged Tevita Pangai Luani after he was allegedly found in possession of drugs and cash in Dayboro on May 5.

Mr Luani, from Taigum, faced Caboolture Magistrates Court on May 30 charged with a range of drug offences.

He was charged with supplying a dangerous drug, possession of dangerous drugs, possession of drug utensils and possession of property suspected of being the proceeds of crime under the Drugs Misuse Act.

He was also charged with possession of property suspected of having been used in connection with a drug offence, as well as possession of property suspected of having been acquired for the purpose of committing a drug offence.

He will reappear at a later date.
