AGENT: Cassie Jiang, Professionals – Vertullo Real Estate

PRICE: $4.3 million

SOLD: June 12, 2018

EXCELLENT Feng Shui amid a luxury design was a factor in the sale of this Hope Island Rosebank Estate property. It was sold for $4.3 million to interstate buyers, who appreciated the distinctiveness of the residence with its beautiful stonework, outdoor terraces and waterfront vistas.

Agent Cassie Jiang said the vast 1367sq m block, as well as its position within the gated estate, were also highlights.

“The layout and outdoor area are a standout, but the buyers also loved the land size,” she said.

“I think that was really a point of difference compared to other properties in the area.

“And with the property located within the gated estate, the idea of 24-hour security was appealing.”

Extensively renovated prior to the sale, the five-bedroom residence was designed for family living and entertaining. Outdoor terraces include a cabana with a bar, a kitchenette, pizza oven, wine fridges, a sauna and a large pool.

Inside, there’s a theatre room, six bathrooms and luxury bedrooms; the main bedroom includes a wood fireplace, chandeliers, walk-in wardrobe with a marble bench, and an ensuite with Travertine flooring.

The kitchen is striking, featuring marble and timber benchtops, Wolf appliances, a butler’s pantry, granite sink bowls, and a plumbed Bezzera coffee machine.

A 27M-WATER frontage was only part of the allure of this contemporary four-level property. As the builder’s own family home, the house was created with exceptional attention to detail and no expense was spared for quality and style.

Agent Edin Kara sold the property for $4.3 million after auction and just 60 days of marketing, and said the local family who purchased the waterfront house appreciated its finer points, such as the northern aspect and outdoor entertaining spaces, as well as the sheer size and scale of the residence.

“It was bought by a local family who intend to live in the home for a long time – it has everything they want and need,” he said.

“They were into kayaking and loved the boat shed, garage and all the space the property has for their toys.”

Offering a spectacular indoor-to-outdoor flow from the lounge areas to the terrace, infinity pool and water vistas beyond, the residence is ideal for entertaining. In addition to the six bedrooms, the gourmet kitchen and open-plan living spaces, there’s also a fully-equipped home theatre room, a billiards room, a wine cellar and a children’s retreat, as well as a large pontoon with water and power, and an eight-car circular basement garage.

NUMBER 28: 71/3 Cunningham Ave, Main Beach

AGENT: Kim Sharpe, Queensland Sotheby’s International Realty

PRICE: $4.4 million

SOLD: June 15, 2018

A MELBOURNE family will call this penthouse their new holiday home after purchasing the four-bedroom beauty for $4.4 million.

The family will wake to a stunning Pacific Ocean panorama along Main Beach, and enjoy luxury interiors designed by Suzie Beirne that feature varying ceiling heights, extensive glass, limed timber floors and custom cabinetry.

Kim Sharpe sales team member Lana Faulkner said the buyers were private clients of Mr Sharpe’s, and that there had been a lot of interest from the marketing campaign.

“When this property came to market we knew it was perfect for them,” she said.

“The sellers live in Hong Kong and used it as a holiday home … and with family moving to Sydney they weren’t using it as much as they had so they decided to sell.”

Mr Sharpe said one of the penthouse’s standout features was the custom-made floating glass and stone staircase, which was part of an extensive post-2009 renovation.

There’s also a combined living and dining space with floor-to-ceiling glass for maximum views, while glass doors open to a rooftop heated pool with an adjacent outdoor kitchen and terrace. On the upper level, the palatial main bedroom looks to the water and boasts a huge ensuite and walk-in wardrobe.

NUMBER 22: 110 Amalfi Drive, Surfers Paradise

AGENT: Michael Kollosche, Kollosche Prestige Agents

PRICE: $5 million

SOLD: September 3, 2018

ONCE owned by former world champion rower Cy Pearson, 110 Amalfi Drive was snapped up by a Melbourne buyer last September in a $5 million secret sale.

The jaw-dropping mansion set a new record for one of the Gold Coast’s hottest streets.

“It’s the highest sale ever achieved on the street,” said Kollosche Prestige Agents director Michael Kollosche, who handled the deal.

He said the contemporary house, which was built in December 2017, attracted a lot of attention from house hunters despite not being listed on the market. Following negotiations with the owner, he struck a deal.

“A Melbourne buyer looking to relocate to the Gold Coast bought it,” he said.

“They rang me about something else and the other property wasn’t suitable.”

Designer Jared Poole is the mastermind behind the house’s unique architecture and style, who noted that its dark interiors gave it a smart and sophisticated edge.

“That established the character of the house,” he said.

“There was a lot of attention to detail that went into the interiors.”

A large black and white painting by local artist Chanelle Rose was a standout feature of the Isle of Capri property, according to Mr Poole.

“We talked (the owner) into having an art piece there,” he said.

“It’s quite a masculine painting. It just suited the style and personality of our client.”

NUMBER 21: 7311 Bayside Close, Hope Island

AGENT: Shirley Wyllie, Ray White Sanctuary Cove

PRICE: $5 million

SOLD: February 14, 2018

CLOSING the deal in an off-market sale to a local buyer who appreciated the size, position and extraordinary views on offer on this unique Hope Island property, agent Shirley Wyllie said the residence enjoys some of the best panoramic views in Sanctuary Cove.

“If not the Gold Coast,” she added.

Perched on a generous 1548sq m riverfront block, the residence enjoys approximately 55m of north, northwest facing waterfront and at the time of the sale housed a Mediterranean-inspired four bedroom, five bathroom house with three parking spaces, a library and heated indoor swimming pool.

Outside, a screened veranda extends the full length of the home offering the perfect environment for waterfront entertaining, overlooking manicured gardens, while a pontoon and jetski or small boat would appeal to the water lovers.

Originally built in 1995, the new owners had other ideas for the property.

“The existing dwelling was of no interest to the buyer because the plan was to build a state of the art, bespoke home designed to capitalise on the position and views” Ms Wyllie said.
