Jordan Reid Law-Fischer, the Morayfield man found dead after a Boxing Day tragedy, has been laid to rest in a funeral on Friday, January 17.

Friends and family travelled from across the state to pay tribute to the 33-year-old who was remembered for bringing “a lightness to life” and a “constant source of laughter”.

The funeral service, held at Bundaberg Living Word church on Bourbong St, was attended by many who shared fond memories they had of the eldest brother of 10.

A homeless man based in Bundaberg said the Morayfield resident always made sure he was fed with a “coffee and toastie”.

Younger sister Jessica Rose delivered the eulogy and said her older brother was a “protector and constant source of joy” for the family.

The 33-year-old would frequently “catch the train from Caboolture to Bundaberg” to visit his father Merle Fischer, and other family in the region.

He cherished fishing with his dad, Jessica said.

Kim Law, Mr Law-Fischer’s mother, said “he was my beautiful big warrior, our gate keeper”.

“I’d have good night sleeps when he was there,” she said.

“He looked after all of us.”
