A man has died after a car crashed into bushland on the Fraser Coast with police continuing to investigate the circumstances that led up to the tragic incident.

Emergency crews have been called to a single-vehicle crash on the Fraser Coast where a car has gone off road into bushland, leaving one man dead.

A Queensland Fire Department spokesman confirmed that a single vehicle had crashed on the Maryborough-Hervey Bay Rd at Nikenbah.

Initial reports indicate that emergency crews were called to the incident and found a man dead in the vehicle, which had crashed into bushland, about 6am.

Attending officers suspect a medical emergency is likely to have occurred, leading to the tragic incident.
