Stolen 4WD pursuit ends in arrests and 21 charges
A man and woman have been charged after a dramatic chase involving an allegedly stolen Ford Everest, multiple cops and a PolAir chopper on the Bruce Highway.

An armed man and his alleged accomplice are in custody after a high-speed chase, ending with a damaged vehicle and 21 serious charges.
The 31-year-old man and 20-year-old woman face a combined 21 charges following the dramatic stop of a stolen vehicle on the Sunshine Coast on Friday afternoon.
Police were called to Maroochydore around 5.30pm after reports of a suspicious blue Ford Everest displaying false plates.
Upon arrival, officers allege the vehicle was driven dangerously before being tracked by PolAir to a Bruce Highway southbound exit at Coochin Creek.
Police allege the vehicle attempted to evade officers before being damaged and coming to a stop.
The man, allegedly armed with a weapon then entered an Audi A3 but was apprehended shortly after.
A 20-year-old woman was taken into custody 200 metres down the highway.
No injuries were reported.

The man has been charged with 17 offences including two counts of serious assault police whilst armed, and one count each of unlawful entry of vehicle, unlawful passion of weapon used to commit indictable offence, possess explosives, possess dangerous drugs, enter and commit, receive tainted property, dangerous operation of a motor vehicle, drive disqualified, unauthorised use of a motor vehicle, and fix false plates.
He was also charged with three counts of failing to appear, two counts of breach of bail and 23 charges for unrelated matters.
The woman has been charged with four offences including unauthorised use of a motor vehicle and breach of bail condition.
She was also charged with two counts of failing to appear and 36 charges for unrelated matters.
Both were remanded in custody and are scheduled to appear in the Maroochydore Magistrates Court on Monday, January 20.
Police are appealing to anyone with information or with CCTV or dashcam footage of the vehicle between 5-6pm on January 17 to come forward.
Investigations are ongoing.
