Two men in their 20s have died and one woman has escaped after a car plunged off a bridge into a body of water in the Northern Rivers. A recovery operation has retrieved their vehicle.

Two men have died and a woman has narrowly escaped after a car plunged from a bridge into a body of water in NSW’s northern rivers.
The bodies of the two men, who are believed to be in their 20s, have been retrieved from a vehicle that crashed off a bridge on Droneys Bridge Rd at Fairy Hill north of Casino.
They are yet to be formally identified.
The single vehicle crash occurred around 10pm on Wednesday night.
A passenger in the vehicle, a 22-year-old woman, was able to escape the vehicle and Richmond Police District have reported she is uninjured.
Police have established a crime scene and commenced inquiries into the circumstances surrounding the crash.
A report will be prepared for the Coroner.
Motorists are advised to avoid the area.
