A heavily tattooed man who has spent time in jail for domestic violence has landed back in court for sending a barrage of shirtless images and videos of himself ‘fighting’.

Kevin Galea was sentenced in Coffs Harbour Local Court in March 2025 for using carriage service to menace, harass or offend.

Kevin Rudolph Galea appeared in Coffs Harbour court where he pleaded guilty to using a mobile device to send a large number of emails with photos and video to his ex partner.

The charge is known as using a carriage service to menace, harass or offend.

On Tuesday, the court heard it was the sheer volume of emails that were deemed to be menacing.

Magistrate Janet Wahlquist said the repeated contact was designed to “wear her (the victim) down” about family arrangements.

The emails included shirtless photos and videos of him fighting, the court heard.

His defence lawyer told the court Galea “does boxing for a sport” rather than fighting.

The court heard Galea had spent two months in jail for domestic violence in the past but has spent the last five years “clean and sober”.

The 47-year-old currently lives on the Central Coast and is working in the mining industry.

Galea was convicted, but released without sentence on the condition he pays $300 security and is of good behaviour for 12 months.
