THE new radio host to join 92.5’s breakfast show has been revealed.

Former Gold Coaster Ben Wood will be joining Bridget Daley and Spida Everitt as a co-host on their breakfast show.

Mr Wood left the Coast a couple of years ago to work as a radio announcer in Brisbane.

“I’m super excited to be heading back to the Gold Coast,” he said.

“I’ve got my first child on the way so I thought, what better way to train myself for a newborn baby than switching to breakfast radio hours.”

SCA Gold Coast Content Director Corey Kay said he was delighted Mr Wood will be hosting the show.

“We’re stoked to have Ben back home on Gold 92.5,” he said.

“With a heap of show experience and a love of the GC he’s a wonderful addition to the Number 1 breakfast show with Bridge and Spida.”

The announcement follows after previous host AJ abruptly left in late December last year after 22 years of working for the radio station.

Adrian “AJ” Johnson has since joined community radio station 94.1 to host a real estate segment that will be aired starting this Saturday.

He is the second high-profile broadcaster from Gold FM to end up at the burgeoning community station after ex-Gold FM breakfast radio king Richard Fowler.
