A Paskeville tradesman has been accused of refusing to reimburse customers $10,000 for incomplete work at two properties in Blakeview.
Sean Joseph Nelson, 34, trading under ASL Landscaping Specialist, allegedly accepted more than $15,000 for stormwater, fencing, landscaping, concreting and other works between March 16 and April 19 this year at one property, according to a charge sheet.
However, the client contacted Consumer and Business Services in July last year and was allegedly told Nelson did not hold a contractor’s licence.
After the client told Nelson not to return, a worker was arranged to complete retaining wall works “in a timely manner”.
However, it was alleged blocks for the retaining wall were not delivered and further works were not completed as promised.
Nelson also allegedly did not respond to the client’s request to be reimbursed $9000 for incomplete work.
A charge sheet also says Nelson received a $1000 deposit for paving works in the back garden of another Blakeview property in June last year.
