A Burnside tradesman will face court over allegations of carrying out work without a licence, including the installation of a $32,000 pool that later sprung a leak.
Peter John Wotton, 55, has been accused of working without a licence at properties in Golden Grove, Hove, Nailsworth and Largs Bay, in 2018 and 2019.
In one instance, he allegedly received $32,100 from a Golden Grove homeowner to install a pool and LED lights, fencing and to remove soil.
However, the work was allegedly “substandard”, the fencing was not straight, the pool had a crack at the bottom which slowly leaked and he failed to complete the job within a reasonable time, court documents claim showed.
According to the documents, Wotton also received nearly $42,500 last year for the installation of a shed at Largs Bay, however, that work was never completed.
He also allegedly received $21,290 in 2018 to install an outdoor bathroom at a Nailsworth property, but failed to complete the works within the agreed time frame.
Wotton, working as an agent on behalf of Jutt Brothers Pty Ltd, is also accused of aiding and abetting the allegedly unlicensed company, which traded as Statewide Pools, Adelaide Complete Pools and Adelaide Fibreglass Pools.
Jutt Brothers was accused of accepting payment for goods or services and failing to supply them within a reasonable time in relation to a job in Two Wells in 2018, court document showed.

The client paid Jutt Brothers more than $8000 for a pool and concreting works.
However, the client alleged the company did not complete the concreting work and his request for a $6000 deposit to be returned was ignored.
The company’s sole director, Pervez Iqbal, 50, is also accused of aiding and abetting the company to accept goods or services and failing to supply within a reasonable time for the Two Wells work.
A hearing has been set for September.
