A NUMBER plate inspired by a crappy pun has become one of the Territory’s quirkiest, in the second round of the popular NT News poll.
Luke and Donna-Marie James were driving around Australia about five years ago in their Mitsubishi Pajero when they stopped at a scrap yard “in the middle of nowhere”, and one of the staff kept poking fun at their car.

“He kept saying ‘my son’s got a Poojero’,” Mr James said.
“We were just cracking up laughing and after that knew we had to get that number plate once we were settled down.
“People love it, people are always pulling us over.
“It goes with the car.”

The winner of the NT News’ first quirkiest number plate poll was Nicholas Glazbrook’s CTDUMMY, however Territorians insisted it wasn’t weird enough.
