Lucky Dragon Newsagency manager Annalia Liu said she was thrilled to discover one of her customers had won big.

“We sold a few division one wins a while ago, so it’s good to see the wins are back. We wish our customer all the best with their prize," she said.

“It’s wonderful news, especially with the border being closed and everything. It’s been very quiet in the suburbs so hopefully this picks up everyone’s spirit,” Mr Scanes told the Bulletin.

“It gets people talking. It really puts a buzz in the community and I think everyone’s on a bit of a high.”

Mr Scanes said plenty of customers had visited the store to purchase their tickets in the hope of adding their name to the lucky streak.

“We’re hoping it’s one of our locals. We’re asking members of the public to come in and check their tickets. Some people wait for so long and it just sits at the bottom of their bag,” he said.
