Pricing of Broadbeach casino apartments for sale in The Star Residences Gold Coast revealed

BUYERS keen on owning their own piece of The Star Gold Coast will be able to pick one up at the end of the month from as little as $467,000.
The group have released pricing for its first ever in-resort residential offering, with one-bedroom apartments, ranging in size from 54 sqm to 66 sqm, priced from $467,000, while two bedroom apartments, from 71 sqm to 109 sqm, priced from $668,500.
The 423 apartments, The Star Residences, will occupy the top 33 levels of the $400 million, 53-storey tower, which will also incorporate 300 hotel rooms over 13 levels, new bars and restaurants, resort facilities, car parking and shops.
The Star Entertainment Group Queensland managing director Geoff Hogg said the 170m tower would take the overall accommodation supply on the Broadbeach island to almost 1400 hotel rooms and apartments.
“It’s the first time we’ve offered the opportunity to live on the island,” he said.
“Whether it’s the restaurants, Pacific Fair, beach, public transport — there are so many attractive things about living in Broadbeach.”
The Star will manage facilities the residents share with the hotel component, while a body corporate will be established solely for the residential apartments.
While there are no current plans to create an in-house management pool for short-term rentals or serviced apartments, the idea has not been ruled out of future consideration.
The tower will be the first time the group offers residential sales in any of its Queensland properties, ahead of its sister project, Queen’s Wharf, in Brisbane.
Apartment sales are due to be publicly launched to the market at the end of this month.
Mr Hogg said if pre-sales were strong, construction would begin shortly after the Commonwealth Games, with completion about three years later in 2021.
The tower is the latest step for the group’s multibillion-dollar master plan and is being completed with The Star’s development partners Chow Tai Fook Enterprises and Far East Consortium.
Chow Tai Fook CEO Patrick Tsang said the tower would become one of the city’s top addresses.
“The location and lifestyle on the Gold Coast, coupled with the existing world-class amenity on Broadbeach Island, are extremely attractive assets of the project,” he said.
Far East executive director Craig Williams said he expected the tower would capture attention from local, national and international buyers.
“The current transformation of the entire site offers an exciting new era of tourism infrastructure for Queensland,” he said.
The building was designed by architects Cottee Parker, in conjunction with DBI Design, and includes an exclusive residents’ recreation deck on level 20, featuring a dedicated pool, gymnasium, yoga deck, lounge, private dining and barbecue areas.
The proposal builds on Jupiters’ existing $345 million refurbishment and construction of a new six star all-suite hotel, to be completed in time for the Games.
