A former Hells Angel bikie has faced court for allegedly defrauding a business of $64,000.

Samuel King, 48, faced Beenleigh Magistrates Court on July 4 charged with one count of fraud to the value of more than $30,000 but less than $100,000.

The Forrestdale man told police in 2016 he was a patched member of the Hells Angels bikie organisation, but he is no longer affiliated with the group.

Police alleged that on November 14, 2022 in Ormeau, Mr King dishonestly obtained $64,000 from Toyota.

Magistrate Terry Duroux said the matter needed to be committed to the district court.

“This has to proceed on indictment, this is a final adjournment and there will be a full committal hand up next time,” he said.

“It must progress to the superior court.”

Mr King told the court he did contract work and had issues funding a lawyer but would engage one for his next court appearance.

The matter was adjourned to August 1 and Mr King’s bail was enlarged.
