A Logan couple’s alleged kidnapping, torture and extortion attack of a young man, during which police say the victim was gagged and duct taped, has been revealed in court.

Kashmir Adele Alcock, 40, appeared in Beenleigh Magistrates Court on Thursday, July 6, charged with deprivation of liberty, torture, extortion, assault occasioning bodily harm and unlawful wounding.

The court heard the Beenleigh woman and her partner Ty Jeffrey Hammant, 35, allegedly held a young man against his will, bashed him and made him transfer ownership of his car to them on February 21 last year.

Police alleged they found the man gagged and duct taped in Beenleigh.

Hammant was granted bail for the same alleged offences in March.

Police alleged the victim was punched and kicked by Hammant and Ms Alcock while he was held hostage

The 35-year-old Logan Village father said at his Beenleigh District Court appearance that he would fight the charges.

Ms Alcock’s matters were transferred to the District Court for trial by Magistrate Terry Duroux.

She will appear again in the Magistrates Court on December 8 for separate charges of breaching bail and possession of dangerous drugs.
