Izabella Grace Cohen-Rogers pleaded guilty in the Southport District Court on Thursday to assault occasioning bodily harm and affray.

The 24-year-old, her friend Brodie Arthur Drabsch and a juvenile left the man with serious stab wounds to his chest and abdomen after the attack near the Treetops Tavern, Burleigh Waters about 11.30pm on September 25, 2019.

The fight broke out after words were exchanged in the car park of the tavern and the juvenile ran at the father and son with a tomahawk.

The altercation continued after they left the tavern grounds, and moved to outside Drabsch’s nearby home.

There Drabsch went inside and retrieved a cricket bat.

It was not until after the fight that the father realised he had been stabbed.

Cohen-Rogers was not the one holding the knife.

Judge Rowan Jackson sentenced Cohen-Rogers to 18 months probation and no conviction was recorded.

Drabsch was sentenced in May to 18 months prison wholly suspended after he pleaded guilty to wounding and assault occasioning bodily harm.
