Gold Coast weather: Where it will hit 30C this week

Spring has officially sprung, bringing the hottest days the Gold Coast has seen in six months, with some suburbs about to crash through the 30C mark.

SPRING has officially sprung with the change in season bringing the hottest days the city has seen in months.

Parts of the Gold Coast are forecast to skyrocket to 30C on Thursday and Friday.

The city hasn’t reached 30C since March – six months ago.

Inland suburbs including Nerang and Coomera are tipped to be the hottest spots to be.

Closer to the water Surfers Paradise is expected to reach 29C both days, while the Bureau of Meteorology is predicting 28C at Coolangatta on Thursday and 29C on Friday.

The warm weather is also expected to bring milder nights, with the minimum temperature rising to 16C at Coolangatta by Friday.

Today temperatures across the Coast will hover around 27C by lunchtime, with blue skies as far as the eye can see.

The warm weather is set to continue with inland areas expected to reach 27C again tomorrow.

Monday: 27C

Tuesday: 8-25C

Wednesday: 9-28C

Thursday: 10-29C

Friday: 13-29C
