Driver allegedly caught drink driving in front of Surfers Paradise police station
A young woman has been charged by police on the Gold Coast after allegedly being caught drink driving in the most unlikely of places.

A YOUNG woman has allegedly been caught drink driving after an incident in front of a Gold Coast police station.
The 22-year-old, driving a black Mazda 3, allegedly stopped to pick up a friend, 21, outside the Surfers Paradise Police Station on Orchid Ave about 9.20pm.
Police will allege the Robina woman drove off at speed as the friend tried to get into the car, causing the woman to fall and injure her ankle.

Police witnessed the event and breathalysed the driver.
She allegedly blew more than two times the legal limit, with a blood alcohol reading of 0.138.
The injured woman was taken to Gold Coast University Hospital in stable condition.
The driver will be appearing at the Southport Magistrates Court next month on a drink driving charge.
