Police have arrested a man on a suburban Gold Coast street following a manhunt and a dramatic car rollover.
A Queensland Fire Department spokesman said emergency services were called after a white Nissan Pulsar sedan crashed into two parked cars and rolled on Central St near Usher Ave in Labrador at about 7am.
The car had rolled on to its roof and two other parked vehicles appeared to be damaged.
Police closed Central St as the crew worked to right the car.
A Queensland Police Service spokesman said initial investigations suggested the white hatchback struck two parked cars before rolling on to its roof.
The spokesman said no one was found with the car when officers arrived, so they began patrolling streets nearby.
At 8am a man was seen running from a shopping complex not far from the crash scene.
He was taken down by officers on Ashton St and arrested.
The man was assessed by paramedics at the scene.
A Queensland Police Service spokesman said he was assisting officers with their inquiries into the traffic crash.
No charges have been laid.
