An ice block on arrival, marble reception desks and an executive lounge are some of the perks for guests at the Gold Coast’s newest upscale hotel.
The Star Gold Coast offered a sneak peek inside its Dorsett hotel on Monday ahead of its opening on Boxing Day.
The $400m, 53-storey Broadbeach project boasts 313 hotel rooms.
Dorsett Gold Coast general manager Michael Foster said the new-build featured splashes of blue, green and white to match its coastal setting.
“It is really sleek, sophisticated and modern,” he said.
The lobby boasts an impressive chandelier created by Currumbin designer Adam Wildman.
It has 173 different LED lights that can be programmed to mimic the motions of water lapping against the sand.
The rooms feature automatic lighting and there is an executive lounge offering breakfast, cookies, canapes and drinks, with sweeping views of the Coast.
But you will need to get in quick – the hotel is almost booked to capacity until the end of January.
