Gold Coast neighbourhood covered in graffiti in late night spree
Residents of a Gold Coast suburb are furious after their vehicles were tagged with spray paint, along with footpaths, signs and council property

COOMERA residents are enraged after four vehicles, signs, council property were graffitied overnight on Tuesday.
Some residents from Highland Reserve and Heritage Gardens received bad news after waking up after the first day of 2019 to find their vehicles tagged with spray paint.
A caravan, two four wheel drives and one other vehicle in the area had the tag line of “BH42” and “LBK”.

Not only have cars been tagged, but footpaths, signs and parks have been targeted too.
One resident contacted Gold Coast City Council on Wednesday to report the damage.
“Every single sign at a roundabout is tagged,” the person said.
“The park and lake is tagged all over the place. Power boxes, vehicles and footpaths have been tagged.

“Council said they would be coming to clean it up in about five to 20 days.”
One person had just returned home from overseas and saw their 4WD was tagged with “LBK”.
People in a Facebook community group have said they saw a group of about six people walking through the neighbourhood about 12.30am.

“We were walking up to Sky Ridge Drive. My partner went out about 10 minutes later because the dogs were barking, couldn’t find them, but could smell fresh spray paint,” they wrote on a Facebook post.
Police have not received any reports of vandalism or graffiti in the area since December 31.
