POLICE have charged two people following the attempted robbery of a service station during which an employee was allegedly threatened by a man wielding a crowbar and a knife.
At 1.22am on Thursday a man wearing a hoodie and a beanie to cover his face approached a 7-Eleven service station on Ashmore Road in Molendinar.
The worker at the service station requested the man to remove his beanie before unlocking the doors and allowing him to enter.
CCTV video of the incident shows the man removed the beanie from his face for a moment to gain entry, but once inside the service station covered his face again and produced a long bladed knife in one hand and a crowbar in the other.
The man then allegedly threatened the service station worker and demanded money.
He left the store without any money and smashed the front window with the crowbar on his way out.
