WHY COAST COUPLE SPENT SMALL FORTUNE ON PHOTOS NOT TAKEN AT THEIR WEDDING
“People think it is out of the way but really it has become a one-stop shop for weddings,” said Ms Burgess, the vice president of the Tamborine Mountain Wedding group.
“The area is particularly kind to brides as the air is always a little cooler and the choice of venues means couples can make the weddings their own.”
the Tamborine Mountain Wedding group, which have a membership of venues, photographers, celebrants, make-up artists and other specialists, has worked to promote weddings in the area for 20 years.

“Over the past two years we have forged ahead to promote the area because if the wedding industry up here is successful we are all successful,” Ms Burgess said.
“There were over 300 weddings up here last year, one person can’t cover that alone so it makes sense for all of us to work together and refer each other.”
The mountain has two wedding expos each year to showcase the beauty of the area.
“Last year we had 200 odd people through the door.”
