Gear up for the Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show

SANCTUARY Cove International Boat Show organisers have given fans their first taste of the super yachts and European-style craft to go on display in 2019.

With the show now in its 31st year, they promise world firsts and cutting edge boats joining the line-up when the event launches in late May.

Boat show general manager Johan Hasser said they had already had a “record number” of businesses and brands securing places in the show.

“There’s over 200 boats on display in the water, 300-400 boats all through Sanctuary Cove in the village.”

“It’s a Caterpillar-powered shaft drive boat with new C12.9 Caterpillar engines. There’s no other boat out with them,” he said.

“It has a Euro-styling package that gives waterfall benchtops, new window treatments, new hardtop treatments and paint accents on the roof.

“I could just go on for ages really … it’s got two stainless steel fridges, a butler’s pantry area, a full-width master cabin with a kingsize bed.”

The yacht also features Italian leather upholstery, but despite its “mini” superyacht status it does not come cheap. Prices start at $2.670 million.

The Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show runs from May 23-26.
