Incredible footage has captured the moment a python attempted to eat a bird — believed to be a currawong — while on the roof of a suburban home just south of the Gold Coast.
In the video, the gutsy python can be seen holding on to its prey while hanging from a television antenna at a Kingscliff home.
MAN HOSPITALISED AFTER BEING BITTEN BY SNAKE AT HOME
The bird is understood to have been caught and killed by the python, presumably while it was sitting on the TV antenna.
The video was uploaded to the Kingscliff Happenings facebook group earlier today with the owner of the footage claiming she had never seen anything like it before.
