A man has been transported to hospital after being bitten by a snake in the northern Gold Coast this morning.

A MAN has been hospitalised after being bitten by a snake at Coomera this morning.
Queensland Ambulance Service received the call to a private home about 7.40am.
He was transported to Gold Coast University Hospital in a stable condition.
It is unclear what type of snake bit the man.
Gold Coast snake catchers have warned residents to be on alert for snakes, with January to March their busiest time of year.
