RICKI Smith was searching for love when by chance she won the perfect prize during a radio giveaway.

The gift was for a three month membership to Gold Coast matchmaker service Two’s Company, who this month celebrated 25 years in business.

The dating agency is responsible for introducing “thousands” of couples and 210 weddings according to owner Tracey Korman.

With Ms Korman’s help, Ms Smith found her happily ever after with Nicholas Still.

The animal lover said she was looking for a partner with similar interests after her 20-year marriage broke down, however, at the time she couldn’t afford the membership fees.

“I looked into Two’s Company, but I couldn’t afford it at the time,” Ms Smith said.

“Then I won three months (membership) on a radio station, but I didn’t meet Nicholas during the three month membership.

“Then out of the blue, they called me and asked how I was going and if I had found somebody.

“I said I hadn’t, and they said they had someone who would be a great match.”

WHY THIS OUTRAGEOUS INFLUENCER HANDS OUT CASH

Mr Still reflected on the duo’s first date when they met at coffee shop 11 years ago.

“I was a bit flustered from being late. I had a mate come around and he started yapping.

“I said I’ve got to get out, let me get out the door,” he said with a laugh.

Ms Smith said she felt nervous waiting for Nicholas but soon realised they were the prefect match.

“I liked his sense of humour and he’s a really good planner, as in travelling, and I’m not.

“We both liked the same music and movies and enjoyed going out to dinner.

“Eleven years on and we’re still together.”

The couple were invited by Ms Korman to a party at La Piazza on Bayview to celebrate the company’s milestone.

Ms Korman said she had been in the matchmaking industry for decades and still loved her job.

She said singles sought her help because they may have had a bad experience with online dating or wanted a safe way to meet people.

“They feel comfortable and safe and even some guys like it because then though know the women are real, genuine and authentic,” Ms Korman said.

“Clients are aged between 18 and 90 years, but we have huge numbers between 49 and 69.

“Often their marriage has failed, or occasionally they haven’t found who they’ve been looking for.

“Dating through Two’s Company is like having your own social secretary and I’m known as the matchmaker queen.”
