Marriott Resort and Spa
158 Ferny Ave, Surfers Paradise
NEW BAR SET TO BRING MELBOURNE TO THE GOLD COAST
The GC600 celebrations kick into gear early at the Surfers Paradise Marriott Resort and Spa, starting with the Supercars Superstar Sportsman’s lunch from midday on Thursday, October 24. The 2017 Bathurst 1000 winners David Reynolds and Luke Youldon and car enthusiast Charli Robinson will present at the lunch as guest speakers for three hours of entertainment and excitement.
“Located just minutes from the Supercars track, Marriott has always been a favourite accommodation option for attendees with the resort a buzz of action during the annual event,” Marriott general manager Ravinder Dhesi said.
The resort’s attached restaurants make for an ideal pit stop throughout the weekend, offering places to relax with a drink and meal while still being steps away from the action. Chapter and Verse Lounge and Bar will be open from 7am for breakfast, while Citrique Restaurant and Misono Japanese Steakhouse have lunch and dinner covered.

Pop into Mano’s for a drink in the week leading up to the GC600 and you might rub shoulders with a champion race car driver.
Mano’s owner Mick Ellison said the restaurant organises pre-race activations, starting with “Martini Monday”.
“We’ll have some martinis named after race teams,” Mick said. “Then on Tuesday and Wednesday we have a celebrity barmen night - we try to get some drivers along and some personalities from the Coast for some beers. We’ll also have promo Team Mano’s girls pouring drinks and schmoozing with the celebrities.”
Mano’s is the place to be on Wednesday, October 23, when the transporters roll into town carrying Australia’s fastest supercars.
“When the transporters come in on Wednesday, everyone’s in the vibe,” Mick said. “I’ve done it for over 20 years, from the Indy cars and the Supercars — we just love it. We’re a great pit stop for a cold beer, burger or a pizza.”

We’re open for breakfast lunch and dinner, Friday to Sunday. We’re also fully licenced, offering full strength beer on tap and Canadian Club and dry on tap.”
