Want to make International Wing Day a night to remember? Ze Pickle has some fried chicken you won’t be forgetting in a hurry.

The Burleigh Heads restaurant serves up buffalo and “legit AF” barbecue flavoured wings, but it’s the suicide waaangs that pack a punch, kick, uppercut and karate chop all in one.

“The cracker of the bunch is the suicide wings — they are lethal,” Ze Pickle owner Nathan Zukerman says.

“We make them with Carolina Reapers and ghost chillies, the hottest chillies known to man.”

The crazy caliente snack comes with a verbal and written warning, and the chefs take extra precaution when preparing them.

“Our chef wears five pairs of gloves and goggles and he glad wraps his arms when he makes them,” Nathan says. “I’ve only ever seen one person finish them. Guys say ‘I love chilli, it’s cool’, then we sit back and watch.”

If you’re game enough to order a stack, Nathan advises against touching any valuable body parts afterwards until you’ve given your hands a thorough scrub.

Everyday between 5 and 6pm Ze Pickle has a happy hour deal on its wings for $7 a pop.

WHY THIS COAST BAR IS SERVING COCKTAILS WITHOUT ALCOHOL

Gold Coast Bavarian restaurant manager Zoe Sepesiova says the German pub group has its own signature specialty coating on its wings. “Our chicken wings come coated in one of three types of sauces: BBQ, buffalo or diablo,” Zoe says. “Each of these are made according to The Bavarian’s very own recipe, giving our wings a distinct flavour and spicy kick.” The Bavarian restaurants at Broadbeach and Coomera are turning up the heat for International Wing Day with 10c buffalo wings with a drink purchase on offer all day. Brave diners are also invited to take part in a ghost-pepper wing challenge at 6.30pm at each restaurant, for the chance to win a $100 restaurant voucher.
